Lisbon was the chosen city of the editorial group Condé Nast (that holds Vogue, GQ, Vanity Fair) to host the International Luxury Conference (annual conference that gathers representatives of the luxury and fashion industries), in 2018.

On April 18 and 19, Lisbon will welcome some of the most renowned names within the international fashion, such as Maria Grazia Valli (Dior), Christian Louboutin, Philipp Plein and Michele Norsa (Ermenegildo Zegna). There will also be several Portuguese speakers, such as Manuel Arnaut (Vogue Arabia), Paula Amorim (from Amorim Group, which holds Fashion Clinic and is shareholder of Tom Ford), Sofia Lucas (Vogue) or the founders of Marques’Almeida.
“We will approach the way in which the luxury industry currently operates on a global changing environment and where the costumers’ expectations are increasingly high”, noted Suzy Menkes, Vogue International Editor and curator of Condé Nast’s conference, adding that “we will also explore the current situation of the luxury segment in Latin America and Africa, as well as the way the cultural and historical connections between Europe and the rest of the world relate to the business”.
