It is an unavoidable name in the national painting scene. Her story began quite early, although international recognition only happened a few years later. Paula Rego studied in London, at the Slade School of Fine Arts between 1952 and 1956, where she commenced developing her artistic activity. Her paintings are recognized all over the world.
Throughout all these years, she has created her own universe, a kind of bubble, from which all the stories that her paintings tell emerge.
In Metamorphosis, it is the actress Victoria Guerra who gives body and soul to the universe of Paula Rego.
